Trekking in Nepal > Everest Base Camp
The classic trek in the mountains of Nepal. Tread in the footsteps of the great pioneers of mountaineering; meet the famous Sherpas in their own homeland; marvel at a myriad of mountain peaks. This trek has it all.
Not for the faint hearted, this 14 day itinerary takes you above 5500 metres with many hills to climb on the way. Our experienced staff will guide you the whole way and make sure that you safely enjoy the trek to the fullest.
Starting and ending with a spectacular flight to Lukla, the trail winds its way through forests and farming land, past traditional villages and up into the desolate heights above the tree line.
Pass through settlements that have become famous over the years; names like Namche Bazar, Thame, Thyangboche and Gorak Shep all feature on this trek.
Experience the unique blend of Tibetan Buddhism as practised by the Sherpas. Visit their monasteries and temples, many of which are hundreds of years old.
To cap it all off there are the mountains. Peaks like Ama Dablam, Pumori, Lhotse and Nuptse are spread out around you and crowning them all is Everest. Chomolungma to the Sherpas, Sagarmatha to the Nepalis; whatever you call her, she dominates the skyline as only the highest mountain on earth can.
At the end; take back memories, not just of the mountains but of the people who call this fascinating region home.
